While growing up in Spokane he graduated from Gonzaga Prep, attended Gonzaga University, and then started and completed an apprenticeship as a union Steamfitter.

UPS package car drivers have until Monday, June 5, to sign up on the 9.5 list. Being on the list means you have the right to file grievances regarding pay when you are worked beyond 9.5 hours more than twice a week. When UPS violates your 9.5 rights as a driver, the company is required to reduce your workload and pay triple time-instead of time-and-a-half-for time worked in excess of 9.
