ELECTRICAL
SAFE WORK PRACTICES / NFPA 70E: You can become a safer, more valuable
employee by knowing the best work practices.
Attend this eight session course and be aware of the hazards that face
you each day and how to safely navigate the job site. If you would like to sign up for the class,
you can call the Local 639 Hall at 805-543-5693 or email to ibew639@sbcglobal.net. Participation is limited to ten (10)
journeymen, as you will be attending with the Third Year apprentices. There is a $25 deposit required to hold your

FIRST AID /
CPR: Learn to
save a life. This one day course will
teach you the basics of First Aid and CPR to enable you to handle first aid
emergencies on the job and at home. New
apprentices are required to attend the class.

Troubleshooting
& Service Work: Gain a
foundation in troubleshooting and performing quality service work from one of

OSHA 10: Become a more valuable employee while
improving your skill and knowledge in the area of safety. Completion of this 10-hour course leads to
OSHA 10 Hour Certification as a Qualified Safety Person (QSP). If you would like to sign up for the class,
